A Day At The Beach

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary last weekend, the same day as graduation. We decided to postpone our celebration until Monday, when we went down to the Gulf about 2-1/2 hours away. We visited a small beach town called Rockport, known for the birds in the area. We had a nice lunch at a restaurant overlooking the fishing boats, walked along the pier, walked along the beach (I had to get my feet wet!), and then stopped at a cute Starbucks for an icy drink. The building looked like a lighthouse, and we sat outside enjoying the view of the water, the sea breeze, and the scent of the sea. A perfect outing!

The photos in order are:

~ Two large birds (pelicans or cranes) taking off over the water
