A Finish and a WIP

I finished the Watermelon Thread Pack by Little House Needleworks on Friday evening. I think it's so cute and such a sweet summer design, and plan to hang it in the kitchen eating area. I haven't decided yet whether to make it a tiny pillow hanging from a ribbon, or to make it into a pinkeep.

I bought the watermelon fabric a few years ago, and this will be made into a tablecloth. The larger design is a border piece, and then there's the small watermelon print and the red with black speckle print.

The WIP is a wedding sampler design from Homespun Elegance. I'm making this for friends who will be married on June 30th, and I'm happy to say it's coming along nicely ~ and quickly. This is the result of working for a few hours the last two evenings, and it's about a third finished. There'll be a bird on each side, a small design at the bottom, and then their initials and the wedding date. I love working on projects that use just one color floss ~ it takes away some of the "thinking" needed on other designs :)

Wonderful Joanne! Those thread packs are so cute and I still have not stitched a single one. This one will be very adorable hanging in your kitchen.

I love your Watermelon finish Joanne. This is the one and only LHN threadpack that I've stitched so far. I turned mine into a pinkeep and think it might still be on Heidi's Stitching Together blog.
However you decide to finish yours it will be lovely.

Oh my goodness I just love everything. Apparently my tastes seem to line up quite similarly to yours.
