to my list of favorites on the right hand side of this page. While it was written in French, Renee always included translations for her English speaking friends. She had some of the most beautiful photos of her Alsace region, and also wonderful stitching projects that she created herself.
It was always a joy to read her comments, and I loved visiting her blog and learned so much. She always had information on places, customs, traditions and people. She was a great teacher in this way, and her love of God and her family was always a pleasure to see.
If you'd like to visit, her blog is still there, with a note from her daughter telling about Renee's death on January 2nd. I have her family in my thoughts and prayers and will miss her so much.

I am so sorry to hear that you have lost a dear friend. The blessing here is that she knew the Lord! Praise God for that!
I've been to her site many times in the past (and she'd sweetly written to me also), but was unaware of her talk of a surgery. It's always amazing to me to hear of a death of an Internet acquaintance. It's like they're always supposed to be there---like they're not really real. As if 'real' life won't touch them. They're there everytime we get online, but when they're not, it's odd. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for sharing this. I do appreciate it.
Joanne,
I was very sad to read about the loss of your stitching friend. I have just visited her blog and she was obviously a very special person.
I'm sure she appreciated your friendship enormously.
Warm wishes, Angela
How sad to hear this news Joanne! I used to stop in and read her blog on and off. She will be missed.
