My Favorites

I've been tagged by two friends, Rhonda and Kirsten. Here are my favorites. As you'll see, I wasn't able to name just one thing for many of the answers :) And, since I'm supposed to tag someone, I'll tag Jacquelyn :) :)

Sound - Ocean; Rain; Christmas bells in New York City; horses hooves and their snorts as they pass by pulling Amish buggies in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; rigging hitting a wooden mast on a sailboat and the creaking that goes with it as well as the water lapping at the sides

Late Night Snack -Cereal or Toast with Butter or a glass of chocolate milk :)

Smell - sea air, autumn scents, brisk air when it's ready to snow

Color Combination - depends on time of year... sage and very light rose; cranberry, navy and deep forest green; or aqua, tan and white (good beach colors!)

Nut - cashews to eat, the flavor of hazelnuts in coffee or Nutella, roasting chestnuts in NYC in winter

Time of Year - autumn and winter

Books - books by the Concord writers, historical fiction, cozy mysteries, cookbooks, books on decorating, and I collect books on old New York and Massachusetts

Actress - can't think of any in particular

Flowers - hydrangeas, lavender roses

Vacation Spot - New England

Pizza - cheese pizza from New York City (one of my favorite things during the years I worked there!)

Subject in School - English and history

TV Channel - NBA TV (yes, I'm a HUGE basketball fan!!!)

Radio Station - "Bob", a radio station in Austin, TX, that plays a wonderful mix of music

Holiday - Thanksgiving and Christmas

Perfume -I've always loved Halston but I don't wear perfume as much as I use body sprays... I love the citrus scents the most and have lots of them sitting on my vanity for a fast spritz

Shoes - great leather sandals! (I prefer bare feet, but I have to admit I also love great leather boots, even though I haven't worn them in years since we live someplace that's always warm.)

Candy - chocolate ~ especially dark chocolate and Godiva or Lindt are favorites

City to Shop - NYC (especially Macy's during the holiday season), and I love small town shops

Beauty Products - nothing special; I love soaps though, and always find interesting ones in small shops or on vacations

Item to Shop For - books or cross stitch items or gifts for friends (especially when I can surprise them)
