Saturday Stitching

"Life is what we are alive to.
It is not length but breadth.
To be alive only to appetite, pleasure, pride, money-making,
and not to
goodness, kindness, purity, love, history,

poetry, music, flowers, stars, God, and eternal hope
is to be all but dead."

~ Maltbie D. Babcock

I always enjoy spending some time on Saturday afternoons in a virtual stitch-along with one of my cross stitch groups. It's nice to know that we're all stitching together, no matter where we live. Most of my stitching time is in the evenings, and I've been making some progress recently, so I thought I'd share some photos.

Here is my completed Emma's Garden, by Plum Pudding Needleart. It still hasn't been made into a banner, but it will soon!

This one is Rose Sampler by Little House Needleworks, from the "Piece of Cake" designs. I would have finished it...

...but I put it aside when I received two of the latest Prairie Schooler charts from Mary Kathryn at Handcrafts Online. I couldn't resist the Pumpkin Patch, and this is my progress from the last two evenings. This will be my project for our Saturday at 3 stitch-along :)

You are really making great progress Joanne! I love them all and can't wait to see Emma's Garden sewn as a banner BUT as you can well guess, Pumpkin Patch is my favorite. You got so much done in the two evenings you worked on it. Does it just cheer your soul to see it???
