Blooms at My Door

"Go not abroad for happiness. For see it is a flower that blooms at thy door."

~ Minot J. Savage

We had a few large storms come through on Tuesday night, and with all the rain we received there are even more flowers blooming in our yard. The orange, yellow, pink and peach rose bushes are still flourishing, and it looks like the lavender one should start to have blossoms within the next several weeks. Those are my favorites, so I can't wait!

The geraniums are out now...

and so are the mums planted a few years ago...

Our newest plant is a hibiscus. I just love their flowers, and the color of this plant is so vibrant and beautiful. The flowers are so tropical, and looking at them always makes me want to be sitting near the ocean on a nice patio, eating fresh fruit and enjoying the view of sea and flowers, the sound of the waves, and the aroma of the flowers, fruit and salt air :)

I was just commenting on a Dutch garden blog about our needing rain as they bring us our flowers. Your garden looks so nice. I hope you will share a photo of the lavender roses when they do bloom. I love the photo you added of the tulips in full bloom in the vase. How pretty they are!

Have a wonderful weekend dear friend!

Everything looks so pretty, Joanne! We've had a lot of rain this week too which has helped everything grow. The warmer temperatures should come back next week as well. I don't want it to go too quickly though. ♥
