A Bit of Autumn

When I took part in the quilting shop hop last week one store had a rack that looked like a large umbrella, and from each spoke hung a pretty fabric panel. It was such a nice way to be able to see just what the panel looked like without having to unfold it. They had several of the panels cut and folded beneath the display so you could easily purchase one, without having to wait for it to be cut.

There were so many pretty designs, and I know I'll probably visit this store again to spend a little more time looking around. BUT, this one came home with me last Friday. It's such a nice autumn design, and I just love the Charles Dickens' quote in the center of the wreath. This summer I'm going to make a quilted wall hanging (or two or three), featuring the designs from this panel. I think it will be just the right thing on a hot summer day :)

I'm sorry that you have no comment. It's just so enjoyable to read you each time you add something, text or photos. I liked the rainbow, and I notice that you always drive with your d-camera in the pocket! I enjoy fresh flowers in spring too, but my most favourite are freezias. Are your guests already arrived? I wish you a quiet and blessed Sunday.

Oh Joanne, this panel is just a wonderful find! You are right; it will be a perfect thing to do ~ making a fall wallhanging on a hot summer day. Have fun making it.
