I've been spending much of my time the last few weeks working in the Guest/Crafts room, and I'm almost finished. I pulled everything out of the closets and have donated lots of magazines and crafts items to the local 'donation station'. I've been going through all my fabric the past year and have given most of it away, just keeping those fabrics that are for designated projects, or ones I really love and know will be used. I decided to move all the books and leaflets from the bookcase into cubby holes in the closet, and take the fabrics from the plastic bins, and put those on the shelves. Now it will be easy to find just the perfect fabric to match a project.
As you can see in the one photo, there are several bunnies on the top shelf of the bookcase :) Somehow I started a bunny collection a few years ago, and hadn't even realized it. They come out to the living room in the spring, but spend the rest of the seasons up there ~ away from Dinsdale, one of our cats who just loves to play with them. The baskets and hat box are filled with ribbons and lace to be used in projects, or for wrapping gifts.
I still have a few more things to add to the shelves, but since I've been so quiet, I thought I'd stop in and share my progress :)

I was very glad to read you as soon as yesterdayn but it was totally impossible to put a comment then. So I come back today. I'm sure that all the people whoreceived your non more wanted stuff were very glad. You neat shelves are just an invitation to work now. I'm not fortunate to have a gest room, neither my own workshop. Everything is in boxes on every step of my stairs! I have to take several boxes before opening one which is under the other. To help me, I put large labels on each box to find my way in this mountain. Yet I have the same pleasure than you to make crafts, especialy because I make them for my Lord. Love seeing some of your stash Joanne! I must admit I had to really *gulp* when I saw this. My fabric stash cupboard has this times about 4 in it and I have fabric stash laying around in lots of other places too since I can't fit any more in the floor to ceiling cupboard. My mother is challenging me to take a photo of it now also to put on my blog. LOL!

What beautiful organization! Oh how I love when my stash is in order so I can pull out just what I wanted. Enjoy!
