One of my favorite things each day is bringing in the mail. It's always fun to see what's in the mailbox, and this time of year there are often lots of catalogs, Christmas cards, and packages. Packages are the most fun, whether it's gifts from others, or packages of things I ordered. Even if they're gifts for others, it's still like getting something new for yourself when you first open the box :)
This morning I received a package of needlework items I ordered from my favorite online shop, ehandcrafts. I "met" Mary Kathryn online in a stitching group and her service is the fastest I've ever seen! I had fun looking at my new purchases, and can't wait to begin one called the Holly & Ivy Sampler from Country Cottage Needleworks. It's such a sweet design and has such pretty colors. It will be fun to work on during this holiday month.
Two other packages arrived today, too. One is a Christmas gift for us from my cousins, which we'll wait to open until Christmas. The other was a box of handmade ornaments from one of my lists. We had an ornament exchange, and the box was full of the nicest handmade ornaments. Every one is different, too ~ no one did the same thing. I won't go into too much detail in case some of my friends are reading this and haven't received their packages just yet.
After opening my packages this morning, I turned around this afternoon and took one box to the post office. It's a gift for my online friend, and I wanted to make sure I got it in the mail in plenty of time so she could enjoy the things before Christmas. I've been wrapping other gifts and need to do a little more baking before the other packages can be mailed. It will be soon though.
I hope the mail brings you something nice, too ~

What fun to already have your ornaments! I cannot wait to get them which will be a little while with being overseas. Are they hanging on your special little tree? I hope you can share a photo of that tree in a while after we all get the ornaments. Enjoy your December!
You're very lucky with so many packages. I'm glad for you. I find a great joy in sending packages all over the world. I don't receive as many, because many of the consignees cannot send anything back. It's my way to rejoice about packages : sending them and make people happy. But I'm really glad for you.
